I didn't remove anything from my car.
Used the BFH just to clearance...just in case. Wasn't rubbing, but figured when it squats out of the hole it gets close.

the more and more i read these things i've started to realize that everyones car is a little different. My car is a 98 WS6 and i just put 17x10.5 and put 315/35/17 on the back and i had to cut the bump stops off but i could tell they have never been used.

I think some of us are getting the jounce bumper confused with a bump stop

    Smoked some 315 Nittos today.

1 and 2 had some problems hanging on.

Well, the jounce bumper is located at the edge of the inner fenderwell, and it keeps the rear from slamming into the frame and it also prevents the wheel from coming in contact with the edge of the quater panel. SLP actually installed spacers on the 96-97 SS's to prevent this because they sat lower than a Z28.

The Bump Stop is the rubber spring isolator that sits atop the spring. This piece also has a big part in the prevention of the rubbing tires or the rear bottoming out on the frame.
