Best advice in this thread. #2 is the BIG one! Pay close attention to #4 while engaging in the spark plug war. The difference here is that the expensive plugs (i.e. iridium) will last longer than the cheap ones, but the performance is virtually identical (while both are in good condition--the difference being how long a plug stays in good condition).

E3 = bad news! I have never seen electrodes wear so differently in a set of plugs than with E3. Replacement set had similar extremely wide variation of electrode wear. If you insist on using E3, then restrict it to a single cylinder engine and check the plug often--then again, engine performance will tell you when the plug has worn past its proper range.

#8 will take less than 5 minutes if you change it from underneath. It will take longer to lift and then let down the car than changing that #8. #6 is easier from underneath as well.

I jacked the car up and could not even see where the plug was. I could not even fit my arm in there if I wanted too. Do you have to remove the exhaust or something. I may do that next time...

Total start to finish was about 3 hours. I had a few interruptions from the wife and kids though...

i didn't really see how it would be possible to replace #8 when i had my stock exhaust on there. i did a plug/wire change at the same time i did LT headers. there is much more space there now to change plugs with the LTs on. I do #8 from underneath.

I just changed mine too. Went TR55's gapped at .055 and it runs perfect.
