niterider, how much experience do you have on a race track? If you are unfarmiliar with the tree i say you go on a couple test n tune nights to get your launch down. I wouldnt run all out through the 1/4 just get the launch down. Depending on the tree you will want to leave as soon as you see the last yellow bulb light up. if you already knew that then disregard i am in no way a guru but i have been down the 1/4 a few times in different types of cars.

as far as mods.. you have about 2 weeks. I say heads, cam, stall, and 3.73 gears. Oh and a driveshaft loop just for safety reassurance
