[QUOTE=The Silver Goat;996832]I know the tune you speak of and the same site has a Diablo rep who frequently answers questions as well.

I do not know either baseline - the baseline or Diablo tune, but I've modified the above tune further.

    WOT Fuel Mixture
    2K-4K +0%
    4K-7K +0%

    WOT Spark Advance
    2K-4K +4%
    4K-7K +4%
Injector Slope -15% which elminated lean conditions for my Long Term Fuel Trims. I did lose 1 mpg cruising at the speed limit on the hghwy

Recently modified after changing weather coniditions, pulling my plugs and further research.

    Each vehicle is different

At WOT you're getting the ping? - back out some spark advance, then...

start with your LTFT and make sure you're between +1.5 / +1% to 0%.

Different schools of thought tell you not to touch slope on the injectors.
My preference is to balance to LTFT's. It's an inverse relationship meaning
(-) adds more gas (holds the injector open longer). The program assumes you've added bigger injectors, thus the inverse relationship.

Once that's balanced you can add more fuel at WOT and Advance the Spark...

    Good Luck

but i also had my cot at 85 deg.(never knew what that was for so just left it)...but i had just put some fuel in the car just befor doing this tune... and car was sitting for a week and a half... have never really gotten great power from this thing for the mods...currently have a comp 600 inch lift cam with 232 duration z06 heads with comp springs, lifters, pushrods, adjustable rockers, but still on stock manifolds and no cai... making 349 whp and 337 wtq

Start with your LTFT's and get them to 0%...or +1.5% to 0%
Change your Cat Operating Temp to highest temp setting.
But prior to that I'd back the timing down.
Run it and watch your LTFT's and get them in balance.
Then start adjusting the spark and wot.

At the end of the day, with a different cam I'd go buy a tune from a shop using the LS1 software.
Plus if you're in denver I'd add a lot gas.

That cause the SLP Pred. Has the Bobcat tunes. You dont get the adjustability as you do with the regular Pred. I guess you can call it a trade off. Bobcat tunes (421 and 455) verses the adjustability.

I Just Put The Program In My Gto And It Seems To Run Better. A Little More Stout Throughout The Rpm Range. Thanks For The Input. I Have A Question Though? I Am Thinking Of Putting A Ls6 Intake On My Car Will This Tune Work With That Intake? I Have Been Told By A Corvette Mechanic That Is Will Automatically Add 50 Horses, 30 To The Wheels, All For $750 Installed....

lol the tune will work perfect with the different intake, and as for 30 horsies to the wheels, on a dyno jet with a completely stock ls1 i saw a 7 horse bump, but thats just stock, if you have a huge cam and are choking the motor with the ls1 intake and then throw the ls6 on the increase will be more, then onlly manifold thats actually made 30 to the wheels was the bbk ssi and it made i think 27 and the fast made 23 or 24 i believe,

So The Ls6 Intake Swap Would Not Be Worth The Money? I Don't Believe $750 For 7 Horses Is A Good Bargain. Thanks For The Info.....

you can find a used ls6 intake for about 350$, and in my opinion if you ever plan on future mods it is worth it

If you look on the Diablo website the sticky in the GM gas section of there forum it instructs you to bring the LTFT to 0.00> -2.00. All by adjusting you slope. And at WOT they should be locked in at the same, 0.00> -2.00. Now the person who posted the sticky has updated it and no longer goes by monitoring the O2 volts as a referance for AFR readings, his screen name on the DS forum is Monte SS. Very help full and lots of good info. he used to say once you get your cruise trims in check to adjust PE fueling to get you WOT LTFT to 0. No more! In his update he says to just adjust the injector slope to get the LTFT in check. Here is my tune that I did last weekend, the only thing I will be doing is adding a little to my PE for the sole purpose of adding some more timing. If I find is mess's up my LTFT then I will adjust it back.

Kevin, you already have the "ls6" intake. All 2001 and newer have intake part # 88894339 which is the "ls6" intake. Don't speend money on something you already have. Look into a FAST LSX manifold or one of the many aluminum intakes on the market now.

My Mistake - you're right, should be -2% to 0%.
Didn't review my post before submitting - Any way +2% doesn't hurt

Would these parameters work well with my 2000 Z28 M6? I've done a few mods such as all the free mods, JBA hedders and SLP loudmouth, nothing internal though...not yet.

    Thanks.

To answer your question, Yes. But the best thing to do is some loging or live data viewing and then base your adjustments off of what your car is doing. Not all are the same and to say the above tune will work well with your car is wrong to say. I dont car who the guy was who made up the tune and what brand of racing he was involved in. Just for shits and giggles I se my peramiters to what he posted and DAMN did my car run PIG RICH. So I reset my peramiters back to where I had them but with a little more tweeking and now she runs good. I have to say tho thats my trans settings were based off his tune and than I tweeked them more. SO moral to the post is do your own loging and then adjustments.
