I put a new steering rack in.....there is a plastic cover that goes where the shaft meets the rack.....I broke it in 2 taking off the shaft......used a spray bomb cap cut down to replace it...can you tell????Last edited by sjsingle1; 03-21-2010 at 12:00 AM.

this was at the muffler shop.......where they had to beat the ORY into submission.....notice i had to take heat sheilds off on pass side to get header in.....after header in they really did not want to go back in so i left them offLast edited by sjsingle1; 03-24-2010 at 10:00 PM.

got the poly mounts from summit.....and the spohn mounts direct from spohn.....think they will go great with the spohn K member I plan to put in some day

Is it possible to buy the clamshell separately ? I want to do my mounts but to save time I wanted to install the polys and just swap out the mount .

In regards to the oil mess, I hate to say it looks like mine from when my PS pump leaked from the high pressure line. O-ring failure. I dumped a shit load of fluid onto the alternator and it pooled up on the K-member. As I drove the PS fluid blew back along the engine. In a couple of your pics I see some of the same mess in post 12 and 39, 39 being the most telling for me.

you cant buy empty clamshells......if you dont have them ........you have to buy new mounts to put the polys in

my rack was leaking at the tie rod shaft........made a big ol mess on the under side........what the manual does not tell you is that you cant get out the rack bolt under the alternator.....with out lifting the engine up 6 inches.......i had to sawzall it off......put the new bolts in upside down........LIKE they should have been done at the factory.....that was 1 of the biggest PITA yet

Was wondering...I purchased american racing headers with wanting to keep all emissions but....can I purchase a block off plated that would bolt onto headers?

you can buy the EGR and air pump block off plates to fit on the manifolds almost anywhere

nice write up...i was gonna comment on the oil on the pan near the harmonic balancer, but like was said, could have come from the leaky rack.
