Stock LS1. I didn't do any other things that I should have when I did the cam swap (oil pump/timing chain/160* thermostat, etc). So all that stuff I'll be getting for Christmas

hit up texas speed when you get the rest of the parts and look at the in moton singal timing set. with a few more mods you can get it over 400rwhp like my ta.

I'll look at that too. I'd like to have over 400. But what I really need is some tires so I can get it down the track at a decent time

Yea, I'm on Nitto street tires. Pretty slippery.

No, I dont have any previous numbers. But I'm guessing around maybe 320 at the wheels. Wish I had some though. Yes, these are tuned numbers

Just preventive maintenance. Why take it all apart & not do it? It'll take more money and time to wait till it goes on its own. If you have it tore down that far, might as well.

ok, i dont disagree with that logic. Is that also for the timing chain? just something that might "go" down the road?

The LS2 is stronger I hear. I paid like 15 bucks for one and you know how important that chain is right?

Timing chains are good to replace at 100k miles. Thats a norm I guess you can say. Sometimes they last longer, sometimes not. However, if it does crap out on you while driving, could possibly warp valves & cause a lot of havoc. Then the cost of just replacing the chain turns into a total overhaul, lol.
