No theres gotta be something wrong. It slips from 4500 to 6000 rpm and then shifts. My first take off it hit the rev limiter and wouldn't shift. This has happened for both first to second and second to third shifts.
And by slipping i mean it completely lets go. Like it will grab all the way up and just like holding in a clutch on a manual then it slams the next gear

Could this have anything to do with the car just sitting for a couple days? since I've had the car it hasn't not been driven for more than a day
I called the transgo rep and he said it sounds like low fluid pressure.
My dipstick tube isn't the stock one and I don't really know how much fluid to put in.
The manual says 5 qts so thats what I put in and I can see it a little on the dipstick. The transgo rep said it could need up to 9 qts.
He also said to run a pressure gauge on the transmission near the linkage and run it through the gears and also to do a brake stand with the gauge on there.. Does this sound right?Last edited by pk222; 04-13-2010 at 09:49 AM.

I've got 6 in it now. I guess I'll throw in one more but I really don't know where its supposed to be.
the dipstick tube is just a rubber hose someone threw on there so I don't know if it is the right length

I know.. I'm thinking of throwing in one more quart or a half just to be safe.. Whould it be better to run a little over filled rather than being to low.

You can actually ruin it by running it either to low or to high.

I have 8 in it now and its reading right so i think the reading off the dipstick might be right. I'm still going to get the correct dipstick and tube.
