first car was a 1985 chrysler lebaron turbocharged convertible. it started on fire...i miss it sometimes.

second car, still have it and using it as a winter car right now, is my 1996 monte carlo ls/ss

all 90's monte were just ls not ss ss was from 83-88 and 2000 to present.
also 70- 72.

Thanks. Nothing like the one posted above, which is DEFINITELY bad to the bone, although "street legal" and/or "street car" legitimacy are subject to each individual's perception/opinion/exaggeration. That's a whole other thread though.

My purple junk could be driven anywhere by my wife and got 19mpgs on the highway, but still whooped 99% of whatever pulled alongside it, so I was pleased with how it turned out...

Your mustang looks nicer though....and i just talked to him, he said he put it into a wall the last time he raced it...buddy of his tweaked the suspension...friends don't let friends mess with their fast ass cars...anyway, your's looked nicer, especially now.

As far as going back to Mustang, I wouldn't trade my SS for one, but i'd buy one straight up if i could....but not before i get my hands on a WS6 T/A!!!! Gotta have an Arctic White or Black one to go with my SS, that would be a beautiful driveway haha.

is that an 85 monte ss? you have the 85 ss stripes and decals on the door, with 86- 88 rims?
i have had two 81 monte's and 84 monte, 85 monte ss, an 88 monte ss, and an 87 monte ss aerocoupe (that i still have) i know these cars. lol.

It was a 86... it was repainted and they cut and removed part of the stripes and just left the big one.

Best year in my opinion.

It's a real pos, but it hasn't given me too hard of a time. Actually pretty reliable. I've had this thing since HS in 03 i think. It's a bit more beat up now though. Rattles like a sombitch and rides like a 1800s wagon.

A lot of the older Muscle cars were owned in the 80's early 90's when you could still pick one up rather cheaply. several of my Novas I got without engines and trannys for under $1000. I worked near a junkyard and got profiecent at transplanting motors in. I would fix it up, drive for a little while then sell it.

that 68 fury...isnt that made by Plymouth ..my best friend's dad has one with 15k and a big ass 42x hemi in it.
