Red?- 2001 Z28
A kid in my area owned a V6 Camaro in the late 90s. He had dual outlets, removed any RS badging, and added the Z28 graphics. At the time, I had not yet added the Procharger to my '86 5.0 GT, but the motor was still built. I ran a guy in an M6 WS6. His only mods were headers, ORY, cat back, and a lid. I would put about half a car on him, and mine was a consistent twelve second car. I knew this fella, and we're still friends, and he didn't lie to me about the mods. That was my first run-in with an LS1, so I knew they were serious machines. My Mustang friends, however, did not.....because of this kid. They were convinced that the guy I ran had juice, because of how easily they ripped this kid's "LS1." Word spread throughout the area about how overrated LS1s were, then a guy in my town bought one. To make a longer story a little shorter, most of my friends went down to that car, except the ones that were well-built. A funny part of the story was that one of my friends didn't believe the SS that beat him was stock. He actually looked through the guys engine bay, while holding a chevy magazine with a photo of an LS1 engine, trying to find something on the engine in this car that did not match the photo in the magazine. For a while, however, that kid did make LS1s look bad.

shit like that makes me glad that NO ONE around here knows wtf is a LS1... not even people that drive LT1's... most of the ppl who prep up cars are country bumkins that don't know anything about cars unless it's 4cilinder or Rotary... that way I get no bad rap...and get to impress the shit out of people when I beat them... or keep up with them (when they have much stronger cars)... although 85% of the time, no one believes my racing stories exept for my friends that where there...or the ones that know my car almost as well as I do...

When I had my 01 Cobra, I ran into one on a highway, and left him bad twice. I was stock except for x-pipe, borla, chip, and intake.
It had duals, but no badges. I thought those LS1's were overrated and jumped at the chance to run one after that. Little did I know that the real thing would prolly put a two or three car length hurtin' on me.
Posers are like fags, they are just plain WRONG and don't belong.

If he's lucky. 96 GT's didn't put 200 HP to the wheels. I know. I had one.

Its true my friend bought his brand new 5.0 heads for 850 for both heads with everything installed, ls1 heads like that would be around 2500 for both.

Thats what kills me. These Mustang guys keep saying the LS1 isnt shit, but I keep hearing of them running 14s with superchargers and nitrous. Then they say Cobras with the supercharger are far superior than the LS1, but I have yet to see it. I literally stomp every Mustang that tries, Cobra or not. I ran a Bullit the other day after the guy talked shit for an hour at a local pub. I pulled over 10 cars on him before I hit 3rd. Yeah I have some serious mods, but I told him about them. He still said his cammed, headed, headers Bullit would just eat me up. Well we proved otherwise.
Then I keep getting these damn Hondas trying to race. What a waste. They claim beating other LS1s, but I dont even have to shift to second and I can barely see their headlights. Then there is the moron with the BMW 318. Well anyway, a story for another day.http://www.fquick.com/mnypitZ
