[QUOTE=ZAPFOOL!!;658826]he must of feathered it too much or spun them on the low end...but yeah on the top end we get "brick in the wind" syndrome[/QUOTE
With his weight he just couldnt 60' like an LS1 F body, I run 1.8 60' and he was around 2.2, it was a great race though.

Racing a bone stock Lightening is about as common as racing a bone stock LS1. I have a 2002 F150 Harley with a pulley swap and tune and it surprises me how quick it is. I know it is not as quick as my WS6 but just be careful when you race your friends Lightening. That particular powerplant can be made really fast with a few mods that you won't see but you'll hear when the screaming baby under the hood goes by.

^^they can be scary, and everyone lies... ^^ many a times I have thrown a jacket in the backseat over the bottle to try and pass for "stock car with exhaust"

I don't know about the 98's, but I've whooped up on several Lightnings. You shouldn't have a problem.

I have a 2000 Trans Am(m6) and my bro has a 2001 Lightning. When we was both stock he was running a 8.7-8.8 in the 1/8th. I was running 8.9-9.0 in the 1/8th. Not saying im the best driver in the world but I was never able to beat him when I was stock. Than he put a pulley on there and had it tuned. I got him the 1st time we lined up together me stock, him with a pulley bc he spun like a bitch but that was the only time I beat him stock. Now I beat up on that poor little lightning all day with no problem. STS turbo has alot to do with that. If it was me I wouldn't race him for money because I know what they will do. Maybe race him for a car wash or something like that. Unless your not talking about alot of money. Actually the picture to the left is my turbo in the back of his truck HAHAHA.
