Well, I have a Z28 w/ an SS hood on it. It's still a V8, just w/ out the LS6 intake. I only bought the hood to have functional ramair to my K&N FIPK Intake. The funniest thing I ever saw was a convertable '02 V6 Mustang w/ "SALEEN" on the back, LMAO!

I like the guys that are rollin' next to me and think my WS6 is stock....because if you can't hear the charger, you certainly couldn't tell by looking at it....it's fun

I agree if you have a 6 cyl. or a Z28 dont put SS badges on it.

But I get alot of crap from you guys about my hood.

I used to think that any camaro without the z28 or ss badge just doesn't seem to have that mystique about it. Which i've changed my mind too. Now, as Ed has done, i've thought about removing the badges, and at times i even contimplate taking off the loudmouth exhuast and put a facotory exhaust with a cut-out so people don't hear me coming or so they don't try and race me all the time. But i just can't bring myself to take off the badges.

There was a time i wanted the SS hood, then the SS rear wing, but now im looking to get the Ultra-Z hood, though I already got the 35th Anniv. Sp. Ed. SS rims, but i wouldn't dare put on the SS badges, but don't think i didn't think about doing this early on when i got my camaro, but i don't think i've ever put on a fake badge.

I've seen people actually put a z29 emblem when they get a SS hood and rear wing, i think thats cool.

Ferocity I get exactly the opposite, nobody wants to race me cause of how my car looks and sounds (true duals). When it was stock I got challenged all the time. As for posers, that is one reason why I went with the slp hood instead of ws6 but if someone put everything on their car that ws6 or ss had then and only then I say they have a right to a badge.

Oh boy, is the Z-29 badge as bad as that WS-7? Sounds like it's going back to that again!

the worst ive ever seen is this guy at a show here in dallas. everyone approched this car in amazment because it was a BLACK 35th aniv. SS. interior stitching ,floor mats, exterior stripes, wheels..... if it came on the 35th aniv. ss he had it on his car. well turns out the SS stood for slow six. he had his hood popped at the show and people would walk by and do a double take cause they were expecting to see an ls1 not a 3800. it was pretty funny

It is not a kill story at all. It's an upgrades story.

Anyway.... Some people were not lucky enough to get the top of the line model car or truck, but they still want there automobile to look its best.

Just because you weren't born a stud, doesn't mean you shouldn't work out and better yourself.

As long as people don't lie and say it's a real ws6 or ss when asked, I say go ahead and put on all the badges and hoods and wheels on your ride, which you paid for with your money.

If I want to turn my escort into an escort GT, with a supra wing and 20 inch wheels, it's my buisness, so I'll do what I like, Got it?
I am gonna buy a shitty 03 redfire V6 mustang daily driver, make it look just like an 03 cobra, and lose to everything I see. Hell, I might even take it to every dragstrip in NC and get the doors blown off it BY EVERYTHING.

While I am at, might as well get an awesome, HEAVY sound system, record your 03 revving, and just play that lame sh*t whenever I start a race with a damn POS four banger.

I don't have a problem with V8's converting to WS6 or SS options, because they can represent, V6's cannot. So please don't! As you make life difficult for all us V8 people who have to "fix" the problem you caused, after a ricer, bimmer etc. comes along and says WS6 or SS are slow, because they beat your V6 possing as a V8!

Now, regarding the badge issue. I blame Pontiac for this whole mess, as they could have called the V6's WS6 and V8's WS8. I know it makes too much sense, that is probably why they didn't do it! Also, we wouldn't have to deal with this whole WS7, WS9 etc. superiority issue.

Also, if people insist on utilizing any badge with a number higher than WS6, which the general public assumes, as logic would dictate is superior than WS6all I ask is be able to back it up! i.e. supercharged, NOS, LS2, LS6, LS7 etc.

Additionally, some people say, its your car do what you want to it. Well, that is true, of course. However, your not showing any respect or consideration to the "brotherhood" and remember, it goes both ways. So, don't expect or get upset, if you don't get any in return.
