I don't think he was making fun of it to be mean or to discount the lives lost. Sometimes laughter IS the best medicine, and some people cope with tragedy by using humor.

i'm one of those people that think NOTHING is out of the question as far as jokes go. christ, my father was suffering from emphysema, had to be on oxygen 24/7 and i used to call him darth vader. i even had the ringtone on my phone set to the march of the empire theme from star wars when he called. he used to laugh is ass off at it.

life is too short to keep your panties crammed up your crack. if you can't take a joke then keep your mouth shut and don't project your misery on the rest of us because believe me, we have enough of our own.

Also, I love how people can make fun of some people situation but if it is against them they get all upset. I see it like this, $5 means something different to all of us. To some its nothing but to others it could be the difference between eating and going hungry.

+1 for Mitch. Daniel Tosh and Larry the Cable Guy are hilarious as well. Gilbert Gottfrieds voice just sounds like nails on a chalkboard to me so even if the joke is funny(unlikely) it still annoys me.
