It's not going to make a damn bit of difference if the bullet mufflers are before or after the axle. What will make a much bigger difference is where the exhaust terminates. If you exit it underneath the car as was suggested above (as opposed to out the rear at the bumper), it will be much louder inside the car.

yeah +1 on this. my buddies bullet is dumped under the car, and the whole car vibrates, and you have to speak up a bit to talk to the passenger hahaha

yea the car actually becomes a resinator when you dump it under.
