    Made special beans this weekend

    3 cans Pork n beans
    3 cans Kidney beans
    2 cans Pinto beans
1 large onion, cut up but not dice
2 lbs Hamburger (or sub 1lb for deer meat (yumm) or Italian sausage)
    1/2 lb of Bacon
    1/2 cup ketchup
    1/3 cup mustard
    2 cups of brown sugar
    1 table spoon of vinegar
1 jar of Jack Daniels BBQ sause
    1 cup of Jack Daniels

Cook meat, bacon, and onions till brown, drain most of the grease off, save some to add flavor. In a crock pot toss in all the other stuff, when meat is cook, add. Cook on high stir occasionaly for 2 hrs, then turn it down low or simmer. You can serve it as a meal itself or use as a side dish......

I'd talked to Ed about that once before and I'm not sure if we'd get enough traffic in there to justify it's own area.

sprinkle those with garlic, Lowry's seasoned salt, black pepper or crushed peppercorns, and paprika. Then add a little splash of butter at the end. That's the kick I've been on lately. Excellent tasting steak.

I would post in that forum, so that should be all you need to justify making it.

you misunderstood.....we're talking about a cooking forum. Not a sausage smoking forum.
