Hope this helps others out.

The clips on the replacements are backwards so I just cut them off and got a better screw to hold it in tight. It shouldn't ever go anywhere.

GM has discontinued the part. My dealer found one hat was considered NOS.

I order one today from the dealer, 62$ + tax, Parts guy said GM's werehouse in memphis had 4 left not sure on color, Part # for Camaro's pass/side/ebony 88952392

I just got 2 from new gm parts vintage warehouse.
If you e-mail them and ask them to check that part number at that warehouse usally they will.

try classicindustries.com or call them at 1-800-854-1280 i've bought alot of interior parts for my 2001 trans am vert. everything might not be on there web site but if you call them i bet they got and there cheap too.

I know this thread has been dead a long time, and I'm sure this wont make it any easier for me...

But I just got a used 1998 Camaro convertible and it's missing this little piece on the passenger side which virtually makes my hard plastic cover useless. Can anyone help me locate this item?
