Here I'll help you understand the GTO guys position....the simple point here is the Camaro (F-Bodies) have the GM division marking on them, the GTO's haver the Holden Manaro ( GM Division) markings...this is stupid and wrong...so I assume from your post your Camaro is an all american car and the new GTO's arent....
lets review...the 67-69 Camaro's (F-Body's) were manufactured in South Fucking America and assembled in Van Nuys. California.....assembled means put together....some were built in Norwood, Ohio.....from there the manufacturing of the F-Bodys moved to Canada ....On August 29, 2002, a bright red Chevrolet Camaro Z28 rolled down the assembly line at General Motor's Ste. The plant outside Montreal, Quebec, ending 35 years of automotive history.....
So do we advocate putting a Brazilian or Argentina or Canadian marker on the Fbody's....hell no...so why do we have a Holden marking on the Goats? They are as much of a GM LS1 American car as any F-body...and yes I love em both.....I think you missed the point...totally....

He means that when that banner was made, the LS1 was not in the "GTO" yet, because that body style was only a Holden.
