Metallic Blue- 94 Z28 A4 T Tops 52K MINT
Hey guys!
Here's my view on this topic. Most all of the additives out there don't do much for you. It's mainly all in your head if you feel some sort of difference. I am not saying not of them work and do nothing for your power or improved FE. But for the most part it's just waste of your money.
I have used damn near all brands of injector cleaners/fuel system cleaners out there, including the all so famous lucas fuel additve. None of them really worked at all. The only one that has worked is Amsoil's PI Fuel System Cleaner. Compared to the rest Amsoil's was absoulutly best overall, contains no harsh chemicals or acids that will harm your fuel system, engine, emission system, or seep into your crankcase.
I would just reccomend using a high quility fuel and do a full on Seafoam treatment once a yr or every 8-10k miles.
Hope this helps.
Scott......

Not a big fan of the seafoam. Ugh! Talk about your harsh chemicals.
Amsoil is a good cleaner,,,they have great oil as well,,,problem is it's not available off the shelf. If I can't find it in a store,,,especially while traveling accross country,,,,I don't want to use it. That's why I stick with the lucas fuel treatment. It's the only additive I use at all. Been working great for me for years.

I usually just buy the gallon jug, it's cheaper that way. I think there was talk on here somewhere where someone had a cheaper home brewed mix of something,,,but I prefer to just stick to the Lucas. About $30 for a gallon jug that seems to last me at least 6 months or so, again using it in 8 different cars but only on the 3rd or 4th fillup. Most of them though do alot of sitting.
