I'm gonna do all that I can to keep this honest and fun for everyone. I won't hesitate to come down on someone in the worst possible way if things get out of hand. I really see the people on the board doing well with it. Last month was a good month for the contest IMO. People voted and it was a close race. The hardest part is just getting it ironed out on my end so that I'm doing it so that it's fair and consistent. I definitely see some mistakes being made on my end until I come up with a good system that works.I just hope I don't make someone feel cheated in the process of learning a good system.

Here's what I fear happening with 10 cars in the race. 3 cars have 15-18 votes, 3 others have 3-4 votes, and 4 get absolutely none. Or worse yet 1 car out of the ten gets none. If you only have 3 to choose from then all 3 are gonna get a decent amount of votes I think. In the end though I'm gonna let you guys decide and right now 10 cars is ahead by a vote. If I do 10 and it doesn't work out I can always go back to 3 or somewhere in between.

10 is just too many cars for now. If we had tons of entrants, maybe 10 would be sufficient, but I say 5 max for now.

I think you're right on there. We do have some beautiful cars on here, but amazing photographers? Not quite. Too many of us are out spending every penny we earn on our cars, and maybe not so much on a 7 megapixel digital camera. We can even things out with 3(ish) per month, and keep away from the same old car with different angles. The camera is quite influential, as this is a pic contest. Should get the creative juices flowing, but in the meantime, let's not put up any more than 5. My personal OPINION, only.

fabrizi makes an interesting point: is this about the car or the pic? I guess since it's a public poll vote, the members are left to make the decision. But realistically, i think members will select a better picture over a better car due to aesthetics.

Exactly, If you attached a dossier about the cars in question than that's a completely different ballgame. I agree with TSS, they will pick the better pic, not the more highly modified(sorry Luos JK)

i say 5 cars sounds good. not too many, not too little.

i would say it shouldnt really be about performance and mods. timeslips and dyno graphs are ways to compete with performance, but theres no other way to compete with appearance since its all opinion.

no, they won't be in the calendar and the dates are in my first post. Submissions until the 10th, mods until the 17th, members vote until the 24th.

looks like the 3's have it. I'll do 3 again this month and see how that turns out then next month maybe we'll try 5 and see which one you guys like the best. Last month was supposed to be a 3 month but 2 tied for the 3rd spot so there was actually 4.
