I'm thinking LT's, h/c/i are where it's at. And a tune, of course.

Yea possibly depending on how well the owner of the 2010 Camaro can drive, or even hook. How much HP do the new Camaro's make to the wheels stock?

Edit: I keep seeing between 300 and 425 so I dont know what to believe. I know its more than 300 though lol.

The V6's are making over 300hp. The V8's are over 400hp. I'm thinking his chances are better from a dig, but that's just me.

Edit: The 2010 SS with a manual transmission is making 426hp, while the auto tranny-equipped car makes 400hp.

426 to the wheels? Dayum, must have been an auto that I ran. Yea might be better from a dig considering the weight differences.

I think that's at the crank, not to the wheels.

Probably closer to 360 with a 15% drivetrain loss for the manual, 340 for the auto.

I figured you'd get him from a dig, but not from a roll. Now, like Keith said, it's time for some mods. $2,000 can fetch you a good set of LT's, an LS6 intake (you can look in the for sale section on here and try to find one), a tune and some suspension upgrades.

Hum, well hearing that news then I guess I could take one on. Sucks to hear you lost though. Get those mods like mentioned above (LS6 intake and some long tubes) if you can swing the $, swap the cam too. Plenty of good off the shelf grinds, or get a custom grind made up. I can see you getting him from a dig, he's got more weight to get moving than you do. What roll did yall go from? What speed did yall shut down at from both the roll races and dig races? GET THOSE MODS! Better luck next time man.

Went from two rolls...15 and 20! jrbonds im from north east kansas lol so i dont think we live close together!

and..Okay so here is the deal. Talked to a ol buddy of mine. He now owns a tuning shop in Manhattan kansas. I get all parts for 40% price! and work is for free! he has a dyno machine in the shop along with a airlift. Im getting the following for under 3K. Longtube headers, cam, heads, manifold intake, big mouth throttle body, 4.11 gears, LS9 clutch, and strut tower brace. Any other parts i could need?? thoughts?

Save on the strut tower brace, throw that $$ towards torque arm or lca's

Are you throwing the 4.11's into a 10 bolt?

Like SMWS6TA said, save the money you'd spend from the strut tower brace and get some LCA's or torque arm, or even some sub-frame connectors. What kind of rear end do you have right now? If it is the 10 bolt, I'm pretty sure you'd need 4.10 not 4.11. But even then its a 10 bolt and with those mods you mentioned + sticky tires and a hard launch = rear end exploded! What kind of h/c/i are you going with? You definitely need a tune as well. One on a dyno works best, but there are some good mail order tune's as well. Not NEEDED, but a short throw shifter works great. B&M Ripper shifter is what I've got and I love it. Some people like the Pro 5.0's. They both work just fine. While the clutch is out, go ahead and think about getting a good flywheel to match. Get you a 160 degree thermostat and an LS2 timing chain. Best to do since it will all be easily accessible while your doing the cam swap.

If you're going to bump your power output a good bit, you want to swap the rear-end out since the GM 10-bolt rear isn't exactly known for its durability under power-especially if you plan on racing your car.
