well whats the reason gm came out with two types of v8's for the fbods?...one was ofcourse made for the gas milage at the time

You know GM though..they try to make the most out of the parts they have. They were using TBI in the trucks for awhile(88-95 or something like that) so it was probably really cheap for them to just throw it on the f-bods...cheaper option for consumers too. Who knows..
