I'm no pro as I haven't done a project like this myself yet.
The stroker motor would be the best scenario but i think it will be pushing your budget. I would get full suspension for a couple grand, a stout rear end, clutch and possibly rebuild the tranny if you have the cash. Then get a nasty head and cam setup and cutouts. Once that's all set and if you have extra cash, u could get the nitrous.
That would give you a very stable car with 400+ rwhp. also get the fast 92/92 setup.

i have been thinking of doing what you are doing and i'd go with the 408 iron black.

One alternative that no one has mentioned is sending half of your money to me. That way we can both be testing and tuning different combinations at the same time to see what works better. What do you think? You do suspension mods and I'll do the power mods. Deal?

Haha, yeah sounds like a great deal to me

Alright, here's what I've put together and it brings me to about 7500 bucks roughly.

Either Texas Speed LS6 H/C package
    Or
    Patriot H/C package

    New injectors
    FAST Intake manifold
    92mm TB
    True Duals
    Ruff Racing R278 wheels
Some random exterior additions I've been wanting
    Roll Cage

I'm thinking I will need a clutch and will be getting close to needing a new rearend.

Anyone see holes in this plan, corrections? I still have about 2500 bucks to spend so...

By the way...Roll cage seems random, but they look good and in the end, I've decided probably a good idea. I've made the decision that once I have done some mods to the engine (forged internals), new adjustable suspension (looking at QA1) and then rearend I will start looking toward doing a tt setup.

See I've got this nasty, nasty itch. It's a Supra with T88's. Then another buddy just got his 240 back and it puts 500rwhp. I am way behind now and I need to show some muscle. I've got a lot to learn, but as I build my car I'll learn

IF I was you here is what I would do with 10K.

Rear-end ( gonna be aprox. $2500.00 I would do 12-bolt because its a couple hundred cheaper and unless you plan on making a million hp its fine. Plus I didn't want a Ford part in my Chevy.

Then a STS kit for $4000.00

    a good clutch set-up $1000.00

    good set of tires. $500.00-$1000.00

The last $1500.00-$2000.00 I would spend on a cam , fuel systems upgrades and tuning. Might need a bit more unless you find a couple deals.

I feel that your exhaust set-up is fine for what your looking for. SO I would spend that money for the true duals elsewhere. Then race a few of your buddies for money and save up for a bottom end.
