ya i figured it out, i had to limp it to orielys, i couldnt see my speed or rpmsl, but got a new battery and drove it straight home and took the alternator off and got it tested, it was bad so i got it fixed and its workin fine right now... Thx for the help guys

mine did too and then some!! haha. I couldn't tell where I was leaking ps fluid so I just kept filling it up and checking the rack and the hoses. then I slipt my hand underneath the pump and felt it was all wet and had been leaking on the alt for who knows how long!!
it gets better!! after I put the new ps pump in I forget to torque the AN fitting down tight on the pump. drove it around for about 10 mins then looked under the hood, saw that the resivoir was almost empty and could see it leaking all over the alt... I tried to dry up what I could see with paper towel but I thought it was toasted. 3 months later it's still going strong lol

o man thats kinda what happened to me hahaha i leaked on one alternator....got it fixed and put a new pump on....but the o rings for the ps pump were underneath the fold in the box so i didnt put them in and then i try to drive home and my steering wheel locks up and i fry an alternator hahaha ......thank goodness everything is fixed !!!

For the OP, read this thread. #1 killer of alternators is the power steering pump. Must leaks come from over tightening of the hoses and crushing the .70 cent O ring.

thx man, i got everything on and i started it ...and everything is charging and no leaks or weird noises ...it better stay that way!
