This is a laptop that is probably 5 years old. I am not investing any money into it, at all. If anything, I'll buy a new laptop.

I have the same virus on my old PC with XP. Damn shame, I liked that computer a lot.

Funny...
STOPzilla will find the trojan I'm guessing/hoping. Only 10,000 files scanned thus far resulting in only 3% scan progress.
Might be an all-night scan with how slow my PC is running.

I'm up to date with the updates. I can run some of the older stuff, but some programs are glitchy (a home-design program i have comes to mind). Rollercoaster Tycoon game works, slight issue but plays fine. I have a few others, but I've just not loaded them up yet to try. My biggest issue is not being able to use my wireless mouse that I bought for my old PC like a month before it died.

No, but I should be lol. If this one involves "expert" help, I would rather pay for a new one was my point. I don't plan on buying a new one though anytime soon so I need this one fixed because I don't want to use this POS 15 yr old HP desktop I'm on very long.
It is getting the job done though tonight, surprisingly.

I remember when the sasser virus got ahold of my moms PC.
Trusty-rusty Windows 95 got 'er did then. It was my computer at the time, I was able to get online and get directions to remove it from her computer. So much win.

I dont have any pictures, but it was literally a desktop. I set the monitor on top of it. It had a 133mhz processor, and I think it had 256k of Ram (sound right?). Not a speed demon by any means, but it was bulletproof.
