Do you still have access to the Firebird or was it a junkyard/private sell?

If you can get the one that came from the car it would be your easiest route.

Painless Performance sells wire harness kits that can be customized to your build but they are not cheap (looking around $630). I would pay for quality over hacking a harness to make it work, just my 2 cents. Plus you get exactly what you want/need.

Now for programming any dyno shop should be able to tune it, for a simple mail order tune, I strongly recommend Frost (tunedbyfrost.com). He has the best mail order tunes and IIRC can even sell you an unlock ECM.

What other ?? do you might have?

Would love to see how this project turns out. Love that body style....

Shouldn't be. IIRC the truck intakes bump the torque up a little. Injectors should be the same. If it's a stock motor they should be 28lbs. If they are 26lbs those were on the 99 yr.

Regarding accessories you have several choices, there are the F body LS1 style, Corvette LS1 style and then the truck style. Also LS2's will work, pretty much any GEN III/IV styles will work together. I moved my alternator from under the pwr steering pump to up on the passenger head.

    here's how it looks now:

looks great the reason i want to use the truck intake and pully is that the fit inside my frame rails also i was on ebay and they have a ac bracket that puts the ac compressor up top were you put your alternator ... it only works with the truck pully system....tune by frost i went to the web site and can't find a number guess im not looking in the right place....harness,,,,stand alone i guess ???

You might also want to check out MSD's Atomic EFI. It will cost more but is another option for you.

He's got everything except the ecm & wire harness. The unit you're talking about would be for converting carb running car over to EFI.

Here's a system that might be what you're looking for:

EZ-EFI 2.0® GM LS Self Tuning Engine Control System - Self Tuning EZ-EFI 2.0 - EFI Systems Fuelairspark.com

This is the system I am talking about. Atomic LS - Less Wire, More Performance.
