I realize this is a very old thread but I was wondering if you had any more shots of the truck before and after? Perhaps some direct side shots. I am looking at different kits now for my truck but have the exact same concerns as you. I didn't want to go too big and be forced into new tires/wheels. I will probably keep the factory wheels/tires for now but like the option of being able to go a little bigger (285/70) if I want it.

I got a true 2.5" out of the front, and 1" out of the rear difference from stock. Haven't driven it yet, but I am pleased with the looks.

It is a noticeable lift, but still subtle. The biggest problem I had with it was being flashed by oncoming drivers... not in the good way...

I've seen this kit with 285's and they fit very nice and fill out the fenders a lot better than the factory tires, but the lift wasn't too big where factory tires looked dumb.

It's cheap, it's easy, and besides the alignment that is required, the kit has everything you need to install it. All in all I was out about $250, so I wouldn't have been heartbroken to upgrade it down the road, if I held on to that truck. It sounds like this would be the perfect kit for you.
