Nothing new right now, I had to take a break on it to do a motor/tranny swap in her car, paint my moms car, paint and do a bunch of work on my dads truck and a few other things, but hope to get geared up and back on it here in the beginning of November.

A part of me actually finds head porting relaxing lol call me sick. The 4.3 was given to me by a friend that bought it remand a few years ago, then pulled it ot go 350... It sat for 2 years so I just tore it down, cleaned it up and ported the heads. After I get the rod done I'm going to buy a 4 barrel intake and carbs for it.

I used the rear cradle out of my 04 GTO, then used square tube to make the rest of the chassis.
For the price and time you'd have into it I feel like this is the only way to go because you will be cutting, hacking and changing do many things on an existing chassis to get it to look right and work right for your rod body.
Here is some more eye candy for you!

I had some chain laying around so I built the perfect size steering wheel. The coilovers in the front will be hidden behind radiator and grill shell.
Tonight I'm going to try and get the rest of the interior panels cut out and stained ebony, and get the top frame built and covered

This is bad ass!!!
Are the wood panels to represent sheet metal later?
How would you go to register something like this? I know it varies from state to state.

Stained the side and rear panels with red sedonia(sp?) And all the trim boards with ebony stain. The interior is all ebony stained.
I shot 3 heavy coats of auto clear on the main body panels, then sanded them smooth to get rid of the wood texture, but you can still see all of the wood grain. Tonight when I get home I'm going to clean the garage and clearcoat the whole assembled body

Once it's done, you should weigh it. I think that rod's going to haul some serious ass.

I think it will lol it weighs nothing end without the engine/ tranny in it I can puck the front or back end up and move it around (I'm not a big guy) lol
Even though it should be fast enough with the 4.3l I do have just enough room to squeeze in an ls based v8 if I decide to later
