How exactly can someone "stalk" you just by entering your first name? What am I going to do...google "ryan" or "mike"?
I don't get the whole stalking thing...

I don't get the "stalking, however I do use my real first name on several major tech/manufacturer sites so using my real first name on sites that are not "secure" in a detailed sense of the term is simply not an option for me.
My online persona is critical to my business so I need to keep it intact. Sure people can figure out exactly who I am if they know where to look or take the time to put a few various profiles together, (it isn't rocket science), but it limiting the use of my real name keeps the honest people honest.
I am on a couple of sites that require real names and verification in order to even be a member so retaining some distance between my virtual public and virtual private life is important. Plus I moderate several forums and as such I need to maintain a certain presence to be effective in my responsibilities (I do not want members of those sites finding me without a little bit of effort) using something I may here (for example) and using it against me.

Spaz's entered name is R. Yours is SS. R SS Camaro? IDK, you guys have only letters for a name? Don't read too much into it, just trying to make small talk.
Spaz was saying y'all can stalk us easier now.
Go ahead and google Steve and see if you can find me! Prolly can now.
