    LT1 Headers + Y Pipe

    my brother has a 95 Z28 Camaro he wants to put aftermarket headers on his car can he use his stock pipe with the aftermarket headers for now or does he need the y pipe with installation of the new headers? i have a 94 LT1 T/A with headers & y pipe but mine were already had them installed upon purchase of my car thanks any help is appreciated

    I believe you can still get shorty headers that utilize the stock y pipe, but what a waste. To realize the potential of the headers, you'll want to get some (midlengths or longtubes) that either come with or have an available y pipe.
