I don't know much about em (something with the cooling system), but I've only ever heard em talked about in relation to the LT1...

bah now I want to learn what the hell steam tubes are but I can't find much info on em. I see lots of posts on various sites where people are talking about them, but it's in a context where they already know what they are. But what I'm finding suggests that it's not a normal part on a 4th-gen, I see where people are talking about adding them for some cooling benefit...

thunderracing carries them I know.....not sure of anyone else. What intake are you running? If it's the LS1 intake you can use the tubes like those in the picture ( which I have in the shed and will make you a deal on them) but if you run the LS6 or plan to run the LS6 you'll want to run the single tube up front and plugs in the rear.

Thats them!
yes that is what i am needing and i am running the ls1 intake how much would you have to have for the tubes orion? you can email me at darenwhittleman@rocketmail.com if you would like to go that route i could give you my phone number or whatnot. and btw to the rest: from what i understand the steam tubes get connected to a high point in the cooling system like the radiator water pump radiator tubes or whatnot and they just are a pressure release so to speak so that high steam pressures dont build up in the heads. now thats what i understood from what i read. still strange and i also read that the engines that plug the rear 2 steam tube holes have problems with the rear 2 cylinders over heating. interesting.

let me find them out in the shed to make sure I still have them and we'll go from there. They'll be cheap though.
