2011 5.3 vortec swap.

Was wanting to swap a new truck engine into my 67 Chevy C10.
There seems to be less swap support for 2007 and above years.

Does anyone know if i will have any problems different from a 2006 swap?

Not wanting the piston knock problem of the early year ls1's.
Was told some of the short pistons was installed until late 2009.
I'm hoping to be safe with my 2011 motor swap.

I got the book. I'm just looking for the updates for the 2007-2011.
series motors.

A few post I've seen said you want to get the 2006 and older models.
but I need to know what changes there are for the new motors that will
effect my swap.

One thing i see is there is no aftermarket wiring harness for 2007 and above.
And i don't know why.

My friends 2006 truck is now using a quart of oil every 2000 miles. I don't want to have the same problems. And i do not want him to laugh at me like I laugh at him and say "there's nothing like a chevy trucks knock" .
His motor is one of the worst that I've seen or listen to. People have asked him if it's a diesel. All that with only 85000 soft driven miles.
