Driver window wont roll up
Sometimes my window rolls up all the way just fine and then sometimes it stops not even halfway. After awhile I go back and it works just fine. When it doesnt i hear this wierd sound like air coming out slowly like a whine when I press the button. What the heck could this be maybe a bad switch not making contact on the inside?

It is more than likely your window motor.

Then it might be the switch if that is the case.

Mine went from working fine to nothing. Then it would move an inch or two at a time till I finally got it up. I don't know of any preventive measures for this problem. But anyone who has had one for any time has just about always had this problem. It sucks!!!!!!!!!!

it is actually very easy to do yourself w/ only a few tools needed. Took me about 2 hours from start to finish taking my time. Theres a full pic tutorial on it somewhere.

Can't believe it just starting happening to me! My Passenger window has been slow for like 3 years... and all of the sudden the Driver's side is inching up! Sounds like I may want to just do both since I have to waste a Saturday Afternoon anyways!
Anyone have links to the install?
Thanks.

Window motor, almost 100% sure. It's a common thing on the Fbody.
Looking for your link.....

Just replaced one in my vert. $55 plus tax from AutoZone, with a liftime warranty.
The dealer wanted $147.
I saw some on eBay for $12 plus shipping.

Unfortunately, it is a common problem since the windows are too large for such small window motors. I've had the dirver's side window motor go out on two of my F-bodies. One has been replaced and the other is about to be replaced.

Well not much I can do about it now. Just got deployed to New Orleans might be here for awhile. Anyway for those that are going to attempt this like myself you can get a pair of motors for under $50 I believe.
