    Engine revs high at start

Just added a BBK SSI intake, SLP cai, SLP lid, and SLP smooth bellows. Went and started the car and now it automatically revs to about 4,000 rpms then dies. If I try to keep it running by feathering the accelerator it will rev back up to about 3,000 rpms and starts to pop (backfire). Also I noticed my oil pressure guage is pegged above 80 psi but thats even with the engine stopped and ignition on. I was really careful when removing the old intake and installing the new one not to bang anything up against it. But it is a tight fit getting behind there. Any suggestions on the revving would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds a air leak and your OPSU is broken off or not plugged in.

I agree with these two. Also, breaking the OPSU seems to be common for intake manifold installation as many people have done it.

Where would be the most likely place for the leak? I've checked all the air connections and they all seem to be fine.

Possibly the manifold? If the bolts weren't tightened down in the correct order and to the proper torque specs or the gasket didnt seat properly, you could be sucking in some air through there. Possibly? Hard to tell from my view.

i say a leak...1. when installing the manifold..a lot of people kind of slide it in..and the gaskets catch on the edges of the intake ports of your heads..so they pop off and create a leak..also..over torquing a nylon composite intake (ls6,ls1,fast etc ) ..will cause a crack..(ask me how i know) ...and lastly..not breaking off the clips that hold the knock sensor wires will also cause issues as will old style coolant pipes with a ls6 or similar.
