Idler pulley?
I got an idler pulley for the main serpentine belt from my local Auto Zone. When i go to tighten the bolt up it is like it is up against the bracket. I think i have everything right. Any ideas??

replaced my idler pulley on tensioner and the stationary one on alternator bracket this weekend. the one on the tensioner had just the large washer and bolt, the one on the alternator bracket has a washer on both the front and back of the pulley and the bolt through the front of the pulley. My guess is that you are missing the washer in the back.. maybe it came off with the pulley you removed?
