PS3 Mods

What PS3 mods have you guys done/recommend? IE fans, skins, downloads, hardware, etc. I'm not an expert and i was just wondering what things are kind of a must or something really cool that i dont know about (said like the tank) lol

I havent done anything to mine yet, i do plan on installing the intercooler because this system does get hot, i do plan on toying around with the linux that works on it.

yeah i think an intercooler is a must . . . whats the linux

I wouldnt use the intercooler. The on for the 360 caused it to break the xbox. It also disrupts the optimal fan flow that was designed for the case.

Don't use the PS3 Intercooler, all it does is keeps the inside core temp hotter and the outside cooler because it blocks the original fans (As said above)... As for "themes" I used one off the web (Google Search... There are millions)... I recommend downloading it straight from your PS3's internet browser because it will install itself and you can then select it from the Theme menu... If you have a small HD you can do a swap, but if you're at 60+ why bother unless you plan on cramming it full of stuff... As for the Linux I have no clue...

I think 4 controllers is a must for Co-Op play and a headset for online play... And of course Games... I get bored with games easily if they aren't online... A remote is always nice for movies... And an HDMI cable for true HD... A keyboard is a great idea too... And if you're on the move alot with your system then I recommend a case as well...

wow ive never heard that about the intercooler thanks guys! i am gonna try to look for some themes but i dont have high speed internet at my house, just dial up. so ill have to take the ps3 the gfs and try it . . . again thanks for the tips and keep em comin!
