    water temp sensor adapter

Hi all, newbie here. I'm swapping an LS1 into my 69 chevelle and I just purchased a 69 gauge panel (water temp, oil press, tach, etc) for the dash. I know that the computer needs the water temp and the sensor used for that is located in the driver's side head towards the front. I also understand that there is another plug on the passenger's side head towards the rear. I'd like to use that one for a water sensor for the 69 gauges which as 1/2" NPT threads. To do that I need a M12 x 1.5 to 1/2" NPT adapter, which I cannot find. Does anyone out there know where I can find this adapter, someone must make it, or other ways to accomplish this?

A quick search of the web yielded all kinds of results -- the most common LS1 water temp sender adapter is showing up as M12 x 1.5 to 1/8" NPT. Ebay, Speedway Motors, Jegs...

sounds like you'll need to use two adapters, the one Jeff found as well as a brass bushing that's 1/8"npt x 1/2"npt which you can find at any hardware store.

I also found an adapter that replaces a block drain. This would give you another option for a mounting location and be down low and out of sight.
