    first pics of new hood...unfinished

    well as some may know my car got hit pretty hard with some very large hail last year. i've had some trouble gettin the car started but the guys doin the work have begun...actually they have been working on it for a bit now...and i got to see it in progress tonite.

    a recap of what they are doing...

    new front bumper
    new hood (vfn 2" cowl fiberglass)
    pulling the front fenders back in (flared out no broken mounts or fenders)
    repair some cracks in the spoiler
    fix dents all over rear quarter panel
    full respray of the car

    the vfn hood he said fits nice for an aftermarket although it's not perfect so he's doin some tweaking on it to get it to sit correctly and flush.

    thanks. here's my motortopia page...there's 4 albums in there...car when i first got it, hail damage to the car, the hood off the car, and then the repair process photos.

    I wish I would've got that hood instead of a ss hood on my z28. My buddy with a 1980's Firebird has the same thing and it looks awsome.

    +1 love the ss hood but everyone has it, If I was to do it again i'd get this or the sunco cowl

    neither can i. guy was supposed to have it done this thursday but called and said that it would be another week or two...grrrr...by that time gas will be $5.00/gal or something...i'll be able to drive it home and park it. oh well...i just want it back.

    here are three updated photos. found out today that the bumper i ordered is junk. company refuses to do anything about it because i ordered it 10 months ago and the credit card company can't do anything either so i'm stuck with it. if i can manage to get my hands on a good bumper in the next day or so i should have the car back by the weekend.
