Surface rust 2002 trans am
Just bought 2002 Trans Am with 33,000 miles. Car is in excellent condition. When looked underneath the rear axle was covered in minor surface rust. Car sat in garage for last 3 years. Is this normal?

Yes, even more so being a northern car. If you're up to it, Raise the car on jack stands, let the rear hang and you can spray with POR15 or some other product that converts/seals rust as you paint it. Rust-Oleum makes a few that does this.

Yea. That’s what I thought. The rest of the car is excellent. They are becoming harder and harder to find. Especially unmolested. Thanks for your reply!
