my luck I'd slip get saved by the hook on a lousy carrage bolt welded to a pole. Only to have the tower then fall to the ground as I was getting down..

Crap, I've parachuted, rappelled and free climed but that was scary just watching the video!

Only way dragging that tool bag up to the top would be worth it is if it had a parachute inside.

I'm thinking it would be smarter to install a box at the top with all of the necessary tools inside on tethers then you wouldn't have to drag them up each time. Would be money well spent.

I also can't imagine why they don't install safety cables on each section of the antenna so you can hook an ascender on. Guess pole climbers are cheaper than all that hardware...

That kind of height would be immensely confusing to me. I can see myself having coordination issues just from the all-around feeling of nothingness and empty space.
