SUNSET ORANGE- 2001 CAMARO SS
Anyone with a Torquer V4?
So, anyone running this CAM or similar these days? If so, how does it run?
I'm still researching on a cam for my LS1 SS 6spd....I was recommended by TSP to with the TV4. I was worried that cam would be too big for my stock 241's. They told me it would be fine. At first, I was looking at 228r and TV2, but they are steering me towards the TV4. Just wondering the impressions on this one.

2016 Camaro SS - Summit- 2001 Trans Am WS6 - NBM
We have a V2 with stock heads and it does fine. The only issue is you leave power on the table by not upgrading the heads/intake. Both are fairly aggressive cams with high lift, you absolutely need to upgrade the valvetrain as well.

Got ya. The cam selection is quite difficult to decide on. So many options...its tough to narrow them down. I've been recommended 228r, V2, and recently the V4.
Those apparently fit my needs (nice lope and good power). I know ones have advantages/ disadvantages over one another, but the v4 I was a little surprised about...just b/c of the lift. But they said I can use that on stock heads.
And I def plan on getting the kit with all the valvetrain upgrades as well.
Thanks for the input

I wonder if the Street sweeper HT cam would be any good these days?
The power band is “roughly” between 2500 to 6600 RPM for 346-355 cubic inches
With the package option including:
LSx "StreetSweeper-HT" Hydraulic Roller Camshaft
Specs: 228*-232*-111*-.612"-.600"
LSx .650" Lift Dual Valve Springs
Seven Degree Chromemoly Retainers
Hardened Seven Degree Valve Locks
Steel Shelled Viton Valve Seals
FTI Pro-Series Hardened Push Rods
Not to hijack your thread but If i was choosing a cam I would def consider this.
