Talked to the guy again, its got a decent size cam in it, and the tranny has had some work done to it. Not sure if i'm too crazy about that. Finding a nice SS for a good price that hasn't had any work done to it is tough.

Get the blue one, get the blue one!
I like the white one.
This is true. Ironically I bought my wifes 2000 SS in Florida a couple years ago when her car was totalled like yours (wow so many things happening the same way,,,spooky :))
Anyway, Although hers was slightly tinkered with, it was all done by Vinci down there in Florida with all the receipts, so I was a little more comfy with it. I even found they remembered the car and gave me additional info. Wasn't anything done that radical though, it still had to pass emmissions down there.
It only had 48,000 miles on it 2 years ago and I paid a little less than what you are looking at. Turned out to be an SLP car too with some added optional goodies.
I would think in this economy if you look around some more you might find an even better deal.
hope u fix it soon. sorry for what happen
As long as the work is done right might as well let someone pay to have the weak points fixed for you:D
Got a 2000 SS hardtop in mind, 6 speed and 74000 miles. Bone stock except for a borla.
Looks like a very clean car and it'm leaning towards that for now.
wow that sucks. sorry man, hope everything works out
A buddy and myself did all the work on my car and I would say its better then any sponsor or shop could do :true: If you care about your car, you take the extra steps to make sure its right and not to rush anything :yup: Thats just me tho!
Well i'm probably gonna buy it back and this new guy with the black SS would take the jetski and motor as part of the deal. Thinkk i could come out on top and hopefully not have to lose my wheels.
And i agree about doing the work yourself, if you care that much about your car, most people make sure the job is done 100% perfect, but some people just wanna slap everything together to win races. Thats the crap that scares me. I'd be a lot happier with a stock one
You'll be back to doin this soon Tater...

that would be nice, good time too. One thing i regret is i never got to run mine down the quarter. It would have been interesting to see how those BFGs would hook at the track. Soon enough.
