FRONT:
Control Arms - these are more of a weight savings offer. Some come with the ability to make camber/caster adjustments greater than factory arms allow. This comes in handy for the Autocross racers. Also, being made of stronger material and tubular, there is less deflection. This means better steering response and cornering.

SHOCK TOWER BRACES - These tie the left and right side front shock towers together. Seeing as the upper part of the shocks mount to the thin steel unibody, that area flexes while turning. This limits that movement. This really aides in autocrossing. It can also help in drag racing by limiting the amount of body twist.

SUBFRAME CONNECTORS - The weak part of a F-body is the fact it's a UNIBODY. Meaning the there is only a front half frame. The rest of the car is one piece. The front frame (k-member) bolts to the unibody of the car. Now, you add t-tops, or convertible, this makes the body even more vulnerable to twisting. This will decrease the weight transfer to the rear wheels because the body is twisting. Thus, the inertia of the front end lifting is wasted. Same thing when autocrossing. The body twisting is allowing the weight transfer to go way out of proportion.

SWAYBARS - Keeps the car from leaning while cornering. great for autocrossing. Does nothing for drag racing. Taking it out when drag racing allows the front to lift up higher. Thus, transfering more weight to the rear tires.

REAR:
Panhard Rod - Upper and Lower
The upper panhard rod is mainly there to support the bracket that holds the lower panhard rod. Not a real need for it that I have ever figured out. The lower panhard rod is to keep the rear centered as the car corners, lifts, lowers, etc... They come in non-adjustable and adjustable versions. If you lower the car, definately get the adjustable. Even not lowered, you can benefit from the adjustable one. The rear ends aren't centered perfectly from the factory.
If the rear is offset to one side, the car will corner better one way versus the other. It's like the lever method. The longer the lever, the harder to tip/lean over that side. For instance, let's say the rear is offset to the right side of the car by 1/2". When you turn left, the weight goes to the right. With the rear being offset to the right, it's like having a longer rear axle on the right side. Harder to tip/lean over. Opposite happens, when turing right. Easier to tip/lean over. Also, useful when needing to get tires to fit evenly under the wheelwells.

TORQUE ARM - This controls the rear from twisting upwards. Acting like a traction bar, it takes this upward movement and uses it to push down on the tires. This improves traction during acceleration. Stock one is made out of stamped steel and flimsy.

TRAILING ARMS - Some call them rear LCAs. These also help to keep the rear from rotating upward. Stock are stamped steel flimsy things. Some come with spherical rod ends. While this may be the best way to go as there is no rubber type mounts to flex from, they transfer all noises as they are metal. Also, over time, using the spherical rod ends on the street will wear out relatively quick due to dirt and such getting in them. Some are adjustable. What this does is help you to make sure the rear is pointed straight with the centerline of the car. If the rear is point left/right, the car will dog leg to that direction.
