where did the pushrod go? have you went to see this for yourself? the LS1 motors have a lifter cup. the pushrod can't really go anywhere except in the lifter area. it can bend and fall over, but not get 'sucked in'. if this did happen, the heads will have to come off. here's a pic of the lifter cups where the pushrod would have disappeared to.

ok he says the lifter is jammed in the bore adn if you takes it out the bore will be damaged so basically the block will be so should i buy a new block and use all my stuff or buy a vetter engine and put my componets in it like cam, heads, intake, trans&rear
they make lifter bore sleeve repair kits for most engines. look to see if they have one for the LS1 motors. it will require removal of the motor to complete this repair. i'm wondering how the lifter got stuck in the bore to begin with. what happened to this motor to cause it to go to the repair shop? you could just get another shortblock and put your stuff on it. hell, get a stroker at this point.
did a burnout and reved it too high and heard a pop.I bought the car with alot of horsepower not really knowing anything about engines i dont think it had a rev limiter. so what do you think i could do how much does a block cost that i can put all my stuff on and will bolt right up??
You're car doesn't have the factory rev limiter?? Get a tune and get the rev limiter re-installed, its an engine saver in more ways than one ;)Quote:
