I bought my Wife a 2017 GT California Special convertible. Having never owned a Mustang I have to say I like it a lot. Very comfortable, easy to drive, and great visibility as well as over 400 horses without doing anything to it. Lots and lots of cool electronic tweaks that you can switch on and off as well as a line lock and the ability to change the feel of both shift points and steering feel. When shopping, she looked at the Camaro (can't see out and feels like you are sitting in the bottom of a deep bathtub even in the convertible), and the Challenger (better but still limited visibility and no convertible) and liked the Mustang best. If it were mine I'd have to add a supercharger which quickly gets you to around 700 horsepower, but even stock it is a really nice ride. The 2018 and up cars are pretty much the same with minor sheet metal tweaks and a little more horse from the same engine plus the 10 speed trans.
