Just looking for feedback on various DOT legal drag tires. I was looking at the BFG Drag Radial 2's. I know a few people who have them and they seem happy.

I'm running some Hoosier QTP's in size 26 x 9.5 x 16 mounted on some stock 16" salad shooters. They're dinky little things but hook like mad. I'm launching WFO with a stock 2000 SS A4. PT4000 Yank converter, Moser 12 bolt w/3.90 gears. When I saw them arrive they were so small they looked like they should go on a toy car, not a real car. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. Mid 1.6 60's every launch. No need for those 3 minute burnouts either. Just get a little smoke coming off of them and they're ready to go. On the down side they suck driving around especially in the rain. Sway city unless you pump them up to 35 PSI. I use 25 PSI at the track to try to keep the swaying down to a minimum.
I run some Remingtons...bet you have never heard of them lol. They're just some knock off brand street tire. I have no problem cutting consistent 1.9's on them, though.
I have BFG DR's. They grip extremely well, now if I can only eliminate all the axle hop.
Mickey Thompson Drag Radials. 275/50/15's. I'm hoping to get into the 10's with them. Once that's done, I'm gonna try some slix.
Bad idea getting the Mickey Thompson's on the stock 10 bolt. Say goodbye in a heartbeat to the 10 bolt on launch. Those MT's DR's grip like slicks.
Very true!!!! Good point. Thanks for pointing that out.Quote:
