I got a K&N set up on the Camaro now but want to switch elements to a dry one. Any recommendations? And where to buy? I hear good things about AEM but the web site shows only elements for trucks. Thanks!

Amsoil Ea filter is what I run.
Ya from what others have been saying, kn filters are oil based and'll fuck up your maf, if I'm not mistaken. Try using Frams
i've had the same K&N in my car since 2001, no problems. If you want to go dry any filter will do.
Here's the scoop: An oiled cotton gauze air filter allows more dirt to pass through than a paper or nanofiber dry filter. In addition, the filter oil can film onto the MAF wires, dirt will then stick to the wires and have the effect of insulating them. This will then result in the MAF misreporting airflow to the PCM. Ditch the K&N and go with either a paper or nanofiber filter -- your engine will thank you. :)
